Makeup, Glam, & a Lop Bam Boom!

I read on another blog today that Marc Bolan of T-Rex musical fame was responsible for bringing androgyny to the rockers of the 60’s and into the Glam era. Good Golly Miss Molly nothing could be further from the truth! Anyone that knows anything about the british invasion of the 60’s can tell you that the influence for their music was Southern gospel and R&B.
The undisputed champion of every gender bending Rock ‘n Roller from the 60’s is none other than Little Richard. I thought everyone knew that, guess not.
That was my guess right up until you said his name.
