Just Another Weekend
It is always a safe bet that no matter what the rest of the world is doing I will be doing something else.
It should be little wonder then that the only thing I knew about this big game thing going on Sunday was that someone actually placed in print in their blog that the outcome of the game would determine who they would cast their primary vote for. Personally I think that anyone that would allow the outcome of a sporting event to determine their vote is. . . well . . . you draw your own conclusion.
I spent the weekend making triple chocolate fudge, enjoying homemade pizza & rediscovering my long lost (but now found) French press. A full pound of fresh dark roast organic coffee beans blended with a touch of medium roast Columbian turned out to be pure coffee paradise. I’ve also been sampling some rather nice cigarette tobacco from India. No, the sky is not raining money here, it was all no cost to me.
Aside from my usual Sunday visit to my Dads to cook dinner and visit for the afternoon the only other thing on my event calender was to review the PMA offerings from the show in Vegas. It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon with just a hint of spring in the air. The drive to Saratoga and back was pleasant, almost no one on the road. As always a great visit.
Two cameras at this years PMA (Photo Marketing Association) event seem very interesting. The Sigma DP-1 is about as close to my dream camera as I have seen yet. Simple, fixed lens, no bells an whistles, just the best current technology has to offer. If I were to get serious about photography again it would be my first choice for a creative adventure. The Fuji F100fd also looks interesting. If it turns out to be half as good as it looks on paper it will be a snapshooters dream come true.
Just another weekend, nice and quiet, just the way I like it.
