After Midnight

Still doing everything I was told I can’t

Cook In

100 degrees outside, no way am I going outside to cook, I was already stick a fork in me I’m well done doing nothing in the house. It was over 90 indoors. I was trying to keep the electric bill down by not using any A/C this summer. Bad idea, by 10 am I was soaked. Nasty wet sweat head to toe. We put the air conditioners in after I got home from my weekly visit with my dad with a couple minor mishaps. Using tools when on medication is not a good idea.

Back to the cook in. I decided hot dogs were in order. What good is a cook out or in this case in without hot dogs? In years gone by I have electrocuted them with a hot dog cooker, fried them, deep fried them, boiled them (yuk), stuffed them in a sandwich maker, baked them, toasted them, broiled them, grilled them(electric, gas, &charcoal) and a few other ways but I never roasted them over a kitchen gas range.

This one at a time process was going rather well when I thought a photo of this insanity would be a good idea. Have you ever tried to hold a hot dog on a fork and roast it over an open flame with one hand and take a picture with the other? Not a very good shot but you get the idea. The stove was on, the flash of the camera washed out the cool blue & yellow flame. I’ll have to prepare a bit better next time
