NO BOYCOTT (Please)
The American Family Association is at it again. Doesn’t that name sound harmless? Well it’s not, in fact they are some of the most oppressive hate mongers I know of. Some time ago they pressured ford motor company into backing away from some of it’s support for LGBT equality with a boycott.
This time they are trying to do the same to McDonald’s. It is no secret that I am not a fan of fast food. I am however a life long advocate of equal rights for everyone. So what do I intend to do about this? The same thing I am going to ask you to do. Spend money at McDonald’s. I don’t care how much or how little. Something off the dollar menu or a soft drink, apple pie, ice cream, or even just a coffee or tea.
Eat for equality, support McDonald’s.
World Net Daily is also supporting the AFA by asking millions to boycott Micky Dee’s. Let’s show them it ain’t gonna work this time.

Guess where I’ve been?

Americans can do something about things if we are willing to make an effort. I want to add this, when you do go to McDonald’s and spend your money, let the owner/manager know that you are spending money there in protest of the AFA and WND boycott. We need to let McDonald’s know we are aware of the boycott and we are behind them in standing up to the hate mongers!
Sorry. I boycott McDonalds for all sorts of reasons
Besides, right now, I’m boycotting Heinz for the American Family Association…
Naturally you are free to do as you like, freedom and equality are like that they embrace everyone’s right to be free.
I do find some of your views conflicting on your blog. I don’t understand how you can claim to support feminism yet not support equal rights for lesbians by your choice of boycotting Heinz and McDonalds products. Your logic escapes me.
I boycott McDonalds – and have done for well over ten years – because of their anti-union exploitative employment practices and their promotion of unhealthy food.
I just recently decided to boycott Heinz because they knuckled under to the American Family Association and removed a cute funny ad from British TV.
I have been a feminist since I was 12 (that’ll be 30 years next year) and see no contradiction between supporting employment rights by boycotting McDonalds and opposing the mindset that says gay kisses are offensive by boycotting Heinz.
I am glad you stopped back to clarify. My mistake, sorry.
