Inspiration

Todays Shutter Sisters entry is about, you guessed it, inspiration. Debbie at SCHINKER’S SHUTTERBUG SITE listed me as an inspiration. (Thank you Debbie)
When I began adding photos to my blog entries last year it was for one simple reason. To let you, the wonderful people that visit, see what I see from wherever I happen to be. I love to experiment with pictures, I’ll push every button on the camera just to see what happens. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
So, who inspires me? Everyone, I want to see everything. It doesn’t matter to me if you get paid five thousand dollars a portrait or use an eight year old P&S like I do, I want to see what you see, every chance you get.
I also want to say thank you to every one of you. I love all your photos. I love to see people experience the joy of photography & the discovery process that goes along with it. The learning process (that never ends), the technical hurdles, and all the wonderful things we experience along the way.

As you know Sis, the shutter sisters don’t impress me in the least bit (I hope some of them read your comments as it wouldn’t hurt them a bit to have some of the wind knocked from their sails). However, one aspect of the digital camera is that it now allows people to be more free with taking photos since the major cost (outside of buying the camera) has been developing. In fact, one of the major driving force behind storage devices has been the increase need of storage from people using digital cameras. We can now afford to snap away at anything and everything.
As you know Sis, I know a lot more about photography than I talk about. One reason is I am afraid of coming across as preachy or some kind of self appointed expert.
I think a lot of well intended kind hearted people fall into the trap & get a bit too competitive making it difficult for the rest of us to relate.
