Remember The House Painters ?

Ahhh yes, those two accident prone guys that my landlord hired to paint the house. It seems that house painting was only a sideline for those two. They made the local news overnight and now the rest of the puzzle falls neatly into place.

Their house burned down last night. Now before you feel sorry for them let me tell you why the house caught fire. They were really a couple of “good ole boys” that brought their family’s north to do some farming. The problem was they decided to grow and illegal crop in Earls attic. All was well until they got careless with the heat lamps and everything including the house went up in smoke.

Earls new accommodations in the county jail should keep him away from electrical things for a while. Paul called my landlord today looking for more work. He told my landlord his house had burned down and he was homeless and hungry. Since the police are investigating and “will be making additional arrests” in this case shortly Paul should have food and shelter courtesy of the county by nightfall.
