Overdue Update

September 1, 2009 Arlene Leave a comment

I would love to say that I have been busy scurrying around doing all sorts of wonderful things. I really do (wish I could say that), but I can’t.  My anxiety levels are off the scale they are so high and waves of depression come and go at hurricane intensities. Add writing block and photo block to the list. Stir in some of the adults around me acting like two year old’s fighting over a toy and it is no small wonder I accomplish anything at all.

Yes the clock is ticking, 145 days till my trip, sounds like a lot of time but it is not. I’m shopping for a netbook. Newegg has a purple Asus that runs Linux for $169.00. Never ran Linux but all I really want from a netbook is already on it, firefox and open office. It just might be worth it.

I know, I know, this trip stuff is getting old but it is the most important milestone in my life and “ME” is what this blog is about anyway. Still, Ill try to keep it to a minimum.

OK on to the photos. Anyone have any idea what this is / was intended to be used for originally ?

On a hazy, hot and humid August morning at 7AM. It didn’t seem all that early since I had not been to sleep yet. Oh how I am paying for that stupid idea.

One quick piece of news: January 25 has been set as the morning for my gender corrective surgery.

I had an interesting conversation with my dad yesterday. He came right out and asked me what was the flurry of doctors appointments, blood tests, EKG, etc, etc, etc are all about and what was the diagnosis. My dad is nobodies fool, he has quietly watched me evolve over the past 7 years without any negativity at all.

Long story short, he is 100% on board with my upcoming corrective surgery. So much in fact that he has suggested a trip to the casinos in Atlantic City once I am up to it.  So yeah, I’m a Daddies girl and proud of it.

Oh, the picture! I bought a few black and black with speckles plates at the dollar store just to see how they would photograph. My favorite kitchen knife was added for contrast. I’m not sure I like it but it is different.  (click on photo for a larger view)
